Poem Inspired by the Burger King at Fullerton and Southport

I think of all the so called fast food Ive ever eaten
Why is it called fast food when It makes you slow?
I remember grease,Styrofoam and watered down soda

What I remember most
Is the man with the mop
Cleaning the floors
At any of the self proclaimed
Burger Kings & Dairy Queens

Its like a fruitless chore
Cleaning that thankless floor
No matter how many times after or before
It begs your attention each day once more

That Floor, That Floor
That God damn dirty floor

That floor will never truly be clean
I wonder if he cleans his own floors with the same vigor?
I wonder what he does with his free time?

I take a bite of greasy malnutrition
And remember when I thought a happy meal was a good thing
Now it’s all unhealthy
Except for the Memories

"Do you want fries with those memories?"
